Dr. Paola Fanzio

Dr. Paola Fanzio serves as an Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) within the Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime, and Materials Engineering (3mE), specifically in the Department of Precision and Microsystems Engineering (PME), Micro and Nano Engineering section, starting from May 15, 2023. She earned her Master's degree in Physics from the University of Genova (Italy) in 2008 and completed her PhD at the Italian Institute of Technology (Doctoral school on Robotic, Neuroscience, Nanotechnology and Drug Discovery), in 2012. Dr. Fanzio then pursued her academic career, holding PostDoc positions at the University of Genova and, subsequently, at TU Delft. Following this, she dedicated five years as Function Lead at Ultimaker B.V., a leading company in Desktop Fused Deposition Modelling 3D printers. Motivated by a passion for addressing critical healthcare challenges, Dr. Fanzio made a deliberate return to academia.
